Septic Tank System Design, Inspection and Certification

Services

Designs require on-site consultation and excavation of test pits to determine appropriate system selection. Two to three site visits are normally required prior to permit submittal. The permitting process typically requires 5 to 6 weeks once plans are submitted to the local jurisdiction with few exceptions. Advance planning is a must to assure your permits are approved on a timely basis. We can assist you with obtaining licensed contractors to dig the test excavations or installing the system.

Septic inspections/certifications typically require 2 to 3 days advance notice. Obtaining septic records from the appropriate jurisdiction is necessary to assure a thorough inspection. During the inspection process it is necessary to pump and clean tanks in order to properly inspect the OSSF. We will coordinate the pumping with the pumper of your choice or, if desired, arrange the pump out for you. Links will soon be provided so that you can e-mail requests for records from a local jusrisdiction or downlaod a .pdf file to fax a request.

Site and soils evaluation help determine if a site is suitable for a planned septic system. Evaluation may require the use of a backhoe to dig test excavations to determine system type.

Consultations evaluate problem systems, feasibility of remodeling projects, change of use or addition of bedrooms or living space.
